The
management system is participatory and decentralized. BWHC is governed by Executive
Council. The Executive councils make major decisions. The Executive Director is
the Chief Executive and works as the Ex-Officio member. The members are elected
for 3 years and usually meet once every three months. The Executive Director along
with the senior management staff is responsible to implement the policies of the
council. BWHC has 9 general members. They are drawn from different social strata
with a wide range of professions, experience and expertise. They vote in the annual
general meeting (AGM). The AGM decides constitutional amendments and changes of
the organization.
BWHC
has 6 units operating under direct supervision of Deputy Executive Director .The
units are Health, Administration and Finance and Accounts, Training, MIS and Operation
Research. Each unit is headed by Director.
The units work in a coordinated fashion and all the
Directors and Managers meet regularly at Program management Meeting to
discuss performances and to undertake future strategies. The Deputy Executive
Director informs the Executive Director
about the important decisions of the meeting.
The centers are headed by either Medical Officer or Center Coordinator. The center in charge is empowered ton take certain decisions. The activities of the centers are primarily monitored by center in charge. The head , manager, & field Officer of different units undertakes supervisory visits. Besides there is continuous interaction between the central office management and the center level management. MIS is the center of all these processes.
